Venable LLP’s Autonomous & Connected Vehicles group seeks an analyst to join the team in the Washington, D.C. office.

​This role will be dedicated to the Autonomous & Connected Vehicles practice, a premier industry group shaping the emerging mobility landscape. The successful candidate has strong writing, research, and communication skills, as well as a record of academic success. One year or more of post-undergraduate congressional experience is strongly preferred. A demonstrated interest in emerging technology areas, including autonomous vehicle technology development and regulation is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities will include (i) monitoring, summarizing and reporting on introduced legislation and Congressional and agency hearings, (ii) researching policy matters, and (ii) preparing summaries, presentations and reports involving policy projects. Candidates must complete a bachelor’s degree program prior to joining the firm, and should include a cover letter and undergraduate transcripts with submissions.

​Our Autonomous & Connected Vehicles team works closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and technology providers to navigate the legal and public policy questions associated with the emerging mobility landscape. Our work includes supporting a leading coalition of companies to advance federal and state policy priorities related to fully automated vehicles, and providing legal counsel in such areas as automobile recalls, vehicle and infrastructure electrification, robotics and advanced manufacturing, and privacy and cybersecurity. Our lawyers engage with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and its related agencies, state lawmaking bodies and public officials, as well as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), state attorneys general, and other relevant agencies.
