The Executive Assistant (EA) provides support to the President & CEO in support of the International Franchise Association (IFA) mission to protect, enhance and promote franchising. This position will provide critical support to IFA’s key areas: Advocacy and government relations; communications and marketing; education, certifications and training; conferences and events; and advertising and membership.

The CEO serves as the primary face and voice of the association and the industry to a wide range of external stakeholders across the Unites States and the world. The CEO enhances and further develops IFA’s close working relationships with policymakers in both the legislative and executive branches of government, regulators, allied associations and think tanks, and other interested parties, both domestic and foreign. The CEO also oversees the development and implementation of an effective communication strategy and conducts outreach to stakeholders as necessary to build effective coalitions. The EA will play a critical role in the execution of the President and CEO’s initiatives and will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on matters relating to the Executive Office.

Ideal candidates must be creative and enjoy working within a small association environment that is mission-driven and member-focused. Ability to exercise good judgment with strong written and verbal communication; administrative and organizational skills; and a distinct ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
