Job Description
This full-time, 12-month position will execute the school’s multimedia strategy and manage all multimedia production for the school, including, but not limited to, photography and videography. Specific responsibilities include:
- Serve as staff photographer, including responsibility for coverage of events, scenic campus shots and general marketing photography.
- Conceptualize, shoot and edit videos that effectively and regularly tell the Peddie story in a compelling visual format with consistent branding.
- Work with communications team to build and implement annual editorial calendar for production of both high-level and smaller-scale videos that integrate into Peddie’s marketing initiatives.
- Create annual strategy for content on campus digital screens.
- Stay abreast of latest multimedia trends and technology.
- Develop concepts for unique, innovative coverage of recurring events on campus and manage timely and efficient production of videos for social media and web use.
- Manage inventory of photo and video equipment and make recommendations for purchase and maintenance of equipment for ideal in-house coverage of campus life.
- Collaborate with art director and editor of alumni magazine to provide magazine-quality photography.
- Create, organize and maintain a searchable database of photography and video footage including event and stock footage.
- Evaluate photos and video provided by external photographers for suitability in print and digital applications. Edit and color correct photos and video as necessary.
- Collaborate with manager of marketing and communications to develop dynamic content for social media posts and campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned, including writing and other communications-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience producing and editing video and photographing events and portraits.
- Expert-level knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Adobe suite, or equivalent photo and video editing software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to protecting the school brand with precision.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Ability and willingness to master new technologies as needed.
