Ethics Attorney


Summary

The Office of the General Counsel, Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) is seeking an experienced ethics attorney to serve a one-year detail that may be extended. Qualified applicants will support ONCD's ethics program and provide guidance to senior leaders and staff regarding all aspects of ethics compliance, including identifying potential conflicts of interest, reviewing public and confidential financial disclosure reports, providing ethics briefings, and other ethics-related duties.


Duties

As a Ethics Attorney, GS-0905-14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following:


Provides legal, policy, or other forms of support on such issues as the Freedom of Information Act, congressional oversight, compliance, employment, cybersecurity, national security, and a broad array of other matters.

Provide written and verbal legal and ethics advice to ONCD staff with citations to statutes, regulations, and case law as appropriate.

Draft legal memoranda, summaries, emails and other written materials analyzing complex ethics issues.

Support ONCD's ethics program and provide guidance to senior leaders and staff regarding all aspects of ethics compliance, including identifying potential conflicts of interest, reviewing public and confidential financial disclosure reports, providing ethics briefings, and other ethics-related duties.

Create accurate visually appealing, engaging training presenations, and deliver training sessions.

Contributes to team projects designed to proactively encourage compliance with statutes and regulations.

Work with other agencies and non-governmental entities
