Key Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with electric utility policy and regulation development, implementation or advocacy. State level experience highly valued.
• Knowledgable about utility rate design and utility business model innovation.
• Experience in regulatory and legislative proceedings around electric utility policy. Experience with electric utilities, clean energy providers, Distributed Energy Resource providers or regulators preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills with ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse colleagues in an unstructured environment.
• Creative, out-of-the-box thinking, grounded in real-life experience and pragmatic problem solving.
• Ability to work across teams and thrive in ambiguity.

Description

We are looking for a senior clean energy policy strategist to craft Apple’s strategy on engaging policy makers at the local, state, US federal level and around the world to enable a clean grid for all. The ideal candidate has significant knowledge of the policy structures that govern the electricity system and can formulate strategies to yield a cheaper, cleaner grid for everyone.

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree with 7+ years of professional experience focused in energy efficiency, demand response or clean energy. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
