Reports To: Campaign Manager

Position Summary:

Amane Badhasso for Congress is looking for an Organizing Director to lead digital, relational and traditional organizing efforts on the ground in MN-04. We are seeking to build a progressive movement in CD4, working with other campaigns and advocacy organizations all across the district to promote progressive candidates and policies up and down the ballot. The organizing director will be responsible for directing the day-to-day organizing operations, including hiring field staff and staff management, helping the campaign plan and execute a digital organizing strategy, a relational organizing strategy, and a field strategy. They will be responsible for all quantitative and qualitative field metrics. 

Our campaign is looking for someone with an extremely positive attitude, a hustle mentality, a commitment to the progressive movement, and recent organizing experience in Minnesota, preferably in CD 4.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing the day-to-day organizing operations for the campaign
  • Developing and implementing the digital organizing plan
  • Developing and implementing the relational organizing plan
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive field plan
  • Hiring and managing staff
  • Running a robust volunteer program in multiple languages
  • Constantly evaluate program efficacy
  • Foster inclusive team culture


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Advanced Understanding of targeting and organizing metrics;
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, training and managing a team
  • Extremely strong staff management skills
  • Commitment to establishing a culture of respect and community;
  • Proficiency in VAN and Google Docs, Action Network experience is an additional plus
  • Experience developing, training and empowering volunteers;
  • Current driver’s license and car
  • Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence
  • Have a personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability.
  • Extremely organized, especially with spreadsheets.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
  • A Hustle mentality
