This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Council of Economic Advisers (CEA). The Council is comprised of Chair Cecilia Rouse, and two Members, Jared Bernstein and Heather Boushey. The incumbent supports the CEA Members and is responsible for the day-to-day functions of their offices, including maintaining a timely schedule and ensuring proper preparation of the Members. This role requires very close attention to detail and an ability to move quickly and without error while under pressure. This position, by virtue of the close relationship to senior leadership, requires the utmost in maturity and discretion commensurate with a high-level confidential relationship.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Maintains the Members’ schedule and is responsible for the management and execution of the Members’ meetings, travel, obligations, and priorities.

Monitors Members’ phone calls, meeting requests, speaking requests, mail, and other inquiries and ensures appropriate responses in a timely manner.

Responsible for the Members’ preparation and briefings in advance of meetings or events: informs relevant staff members of events on Members’ schedule to ensure appropriate materials are created or briefings are delivered.

Updates Members’ briefing book to include all background/supporting documents necessary for meetings and events.

Attends meetings, events, and conferences with the Members as needed.

Handles WAVES requests and approvals for the Members.

Manages travel requests, authorization, and reimbursement for the Members and Chief of Staff.

Escorts professional visitors and special tour groups to and from the various locations on the complex.

Sends data memos to the distribution list at the time of public release.

Performs other duties as assigned.
