Director, Brand Partnerships

The Director of Partnerships will identify and secure partnership and licensing agreements for José Andrés and ThinkFoodGroup (TFG) overall, with the goal to build brand connectivity and expand business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have contacts across industries, as well as sales and branding experience. Reports to the Senior Director, Partnerships + Licensing.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Responsible for identifying and securing deals across categories; this position is sales-driven
  • Work with Senior Director, Partnerships + Licensing to craft a strategy for brand/product positioning, category and commercial goals
  • Create and monitor brand presentations and other assets for business development
  • Research and handle new requests for partnerships
  • Ensure goals are on target through forecasting, sales reporting, royalty statements, marketing spend, etc.
  • Assist with creating presentations and preparation of licensee sales information for executive and partner meetings

 

PARTNER RELATIONS

  • Key interface with licensees and partners across commercial and creative topics 
  • Work with licensees and TFG leadership to develop appropriate commercial strategies (distribution, footprint, marketing features, assortments, regional priorities)
  • Marketing communication to/from licensees and partners in collaboration with marketing/PR to support product priorities
  • Identify challenges and opportunities based on sales results and competitive landscape
  • Monitor adherence to and timely submissions of contractual obligations

 

FULFILLMENT

  • Project management across internal teams, to include Marketing/PR, Finance, Design, Legal, Culinary and Operations to ensure efficient and successful fulfillment of Licensor obligations
  • Closely partner with TFG team to integrate licensed categories into overall operations and company priorities. Lead development meetings, overall direction and approvals. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 6-8 years of experience in partnerships, licensing and/or business development
  • Experience should include sales, strategy development and implementation, marketing & branding
  • Experience in Food & Beverage category would be a plus
  • English fluency required; working knowledge in Spanish would be a plus
