Job Description

Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) seeks a highly motivated Press Assistant to work with the office’s Communications team in his Washington office. Duties include compiling daily news clips, media monitoring, drafting media advisories and press releases, drafting memos and talking points, helping with social media and digital work, and other tasks to support the office. Candidates should be creative, organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and under deadlines. Strong writing and copy editing skills are a must. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with press and a background in communications. Prior experience in government, political, or advocacy campaigns is a plus. This is an entry-level position with a starting annual salary of $45,000 and additional benefits.
