Governor Kathy Hochul, New York’s 57th and first female Governor is seeking an experienced Scheduler to join a fast paced and dynamic team in the Albany, NY. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of professional experience in scheduling for a high-level principal including Member of Congress or State Local Elected Official.  Other relevant administrative, operations, or scheduling experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is highly organized, flexible, able to anticipate change, and open to taking on new projects and is a team player with exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.


 Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares final schedule document for the Governor and staff.


  • Assist the Assistant Secretary for Executive Operations and Deputy Director of Scheduling in organizing and scheduling travel, appointments, special events, meetings, and all other internal and external activities for the Governor as authorized.


  • Respond to a large volume of incoming meeting and scheduling requests in a timely fashion.


  • Liaise and coordinate with internal staff about Governor’s schedule and movements.


  • Communicating key information and scheduling changes to Assistant Secretary for Executive Operations and Deputy Director of Scheduling, staff, and effected stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.


  • Maintains strictest confidentiality and demonstrates ethnical judgement in conducting business on behalf of the Office of the Governor.


  • Non-traditional working hours and availability by phone as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Previous experience scheduling for an elected official is ideal.
  • Possession of sophisticated and sound judgement.
  • Should have ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to work well with teams.
  • Non-traditional working hours and availability by phone as needed.
