Analyst - Media Monitoring

We are a center-right, full-service public affairs and communications firm seeking applicants for entry-level positions on our Media Monitoring team. The Media Monitoring team is responsible for identifying engagement opportunities for clients in the news, as well as keeping the clients as well as staff at the firm informed of relevant breaking news and media trends. The ideal candidate for this position would be an avid follower of day-to-day politics, a self-driven team player, who has a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities:

-Create and distribute multiple daily products such as news roundups, clips packages, and more.

-Utilize social media, news monitoring platforms, and TV to identify, monitor, track, and distribute relevant news/opportunities for engagement to internal and external parties.

-Engage in existing research projects as well as formulate your own ideas for projects to benefit the firm’s or a specific client’s area of interest.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Undergraduate degree, preferably majoring in communities, journalism, political science, public relations, or a related field of study.

-A strong familiarity with current news trends as well as the political landscape.
