Foundation Relations Coordinator



Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking a Foundation Relations Coordinator to support the growth of the foundation funding portfolio of CLF by providing support to the Director of Foundation Relations, Foundation Relations Manager, and CLF’s program directors and state advocacy directors in meeting the organization’s grant fundraising goals. This is a full-time, exempt position located in Boston and reports to the Director of Foundation Relations.


 


What you’ll do:


·        Research foundation websites and databases for funding opportunities;


·        Maintain and track prospect lists, foundation activities, and deadlines in donor relations database (Raiser’s Edge);


·        Edit and proofread letters of inquiry, proposals, reports, and budgets for foundation donors and prospects;


·        Coordinate materials for proposal submission, including all required attachments;


·        Manage acknowledgement process for all grants received, ensuring timely recognition of foundation donors;


·        Support the foundations team in preparing and coordinating briefing memos, background documents, and agendas for meetings and visits; and,


·        Coordinate with the finance team on financial reporting, ensuring compliance with donor terms and conditions.


 


What you’ll need:


·        Bachelor’s degree as well as 2 years development experience or equivalent;


·        Excellent professional writing, editing, and communication skills;


·        Excellent coordination, organization, and project management skills, including collaborating with colleagues in remote offices;


·        Attention to detail and timeliness in responding to requests from prospective donors, partners, and colleagues;


·        High-level computer literacy with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) web-based research, and donor databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred);

Salary & Benefits


CLF offers a competitive salary, an extensive benefits plan, and an open and accepting work environment where differences are highly respected. The base salary for the position is $54,000; actual salary will reflect experience and qualifications.
