Key Role:

Provide leadership, counsel, and project management support in a range of areas, including strategic communications planning, program development, change strategy, materials development, and stakeholder outreach. Serve as an adviser to the project team and client, including supporting strategic discussions and problem-solving, communications planning, and integration and implementation of strategies to increase awareness and engagement of key program stakeholders to facilitate change. Assist government leadership with the development of talking points and key messages supporting a communication approach for workforce communications. Perform baseline assessments of the effectiveness of communication and change management tactics, design communications approaches, develop communication products and vehicles, provide recommendations, and implement updates. Perform action planning activities, including stakeholder analysis to identify program goals and objectives and strategies and tactics for success. Serve as an adviser for clients to support their role as sponsors to change and to identify and activate agents for change within the client organization. Ensure consistent, accurate, and tailored communications with internal and external stakeholders, perform quality assurance reviews on written products, and compose, coordinate, and consolidate reports, recurring reports, and work products.

Basic Qualifications:

4+ years of experience with strategic communications, journalism, or public affairs

Experience in working with senior leaders

Knowledge of communication and change management practices

Ability to develop and implement communication and business strategies

Ability to obtain a security clearance

BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with supporting communications for large-scale change, working with change communications and process improvement efforts

Knowledge of the principles of change management

Ability to work with client leadership to facilitate change within their organization

Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Change Management Methodology Certification, including Prosci, LaMarsh, or CMAP
