The Republican National Committee is looking to hire an opposition researcher to work on in-depth investigations into leading Democratic candidates for the 2020 presidential race and Democratic candidates for the 2018 midterms . The position requires the ability to ?connect the dots? from numerous public records in order to piece together and discover previously unknown information about some of the nation?s most prominent Democratic candidates. As such, a strong analytical mindset is essential to help identify and obtain any pertinent public records, scour numerous media reports, and use any additional research methods within your skill sets to develop unbiased and compelling research. Our research is used with regularity to impact and contribute to national news stories. The position offers the candidate a great opportunity to work at the intersection of political research and political communications as well as the opportunity to make an early impact on the 2020 presidential election. As there is no one background that is best for this position, candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in campaigns, law, journalism, or data analysis are encouraged to apply. This is a junior level position, but entry-level candidates with unique skill sets or professional experience will be considered.

- FEC disclosures

- Freedom of Information Act requests

- IRS tax filings
